 Breezy Baja
A gentle (30+ knot) Gonzaga Bay breeze led to the series of photos below.
In spite of the way it may appear in each photo, I am attempting to make
progress from the left to right in the photo.

Beware the Birds of Baja
Many swimmers, including this Tostito-tossing swimmer, think of these
omnivores as harmless. Yet, as the sequence of photos below reveals, 
a "harmless" diversion can go horribly wrong.

The Last Flight for N23MB (1974 Bellanca)
The unfortunate accident shown below occurred on Saturday, June 1, 2002.  Miraculously, no one was seriously injured.  The apparent (to me who did not witness the event) sequence of events was that the pilot was low on the approach in gusty winds and a gust caused the right wing to tip up and the left wing tip to strike the ground causing the plane to make an immediate and violent 90 degree left turn into the three unoccupied vehicles.  The plane came to rest to the left of the runway threshold on the north end of runway 19.  Note the very extensive damage to the two smaller vehicles.
